I am a military kid and went here half of my 7th grade year and my 8th grade year, I have attended a TON of schools and this is by far the worst. When moving from MD to AL the level of education was pushed back at least 1-2 years. Some of the teachers don't actually teach, we read the book and watch videos. One of the councilors is absolutely disgusting, she told me that I need to get over it or leave after I went to her upset. The textbooks are extremely used and old, most of them either don't have a front or a back along with many pages missing, their desks are also falling apart. Overall this is an impressively terrible school.
Great school. Old but well kept. The teachers are really concern about teaching well. Close knit community and the counselors show great interest in the well being of the students. Definitely great Southern hospitality, with Miss Corvin at the front desk, she is a great asset to the school. She remembers your name and is eager to help. Easily accessible because it's on the busy highway.
Me being in the school now, I can say some of the teachers aren't racist and some teach and wants kids to learn. I can tell you that there is only 6 teachers that will teach you but unfortunately I only have 3 of them. I'm not saying that the school is bad it's just they need more teachers who are willing to teach the children, some of the kids are a handful they don't want kids to learn. Some of the teacher's put the kids out and let the ones who want to learn let them learn but on the other hand the 3 teacher's that I have wants me to learn and grow, the special Ed teacher, the librarian and the one 5th grade teacher who believes in me that's ashame aren't the whole school supposed to believe in you but only so little does and lot don't.
